Hey There,
My Name Is Faris Khan and I know what it’s like to compete, lose and feel deeply let down in myself. I used to feel that I just wasn’t good enough, or in the same league skill-wise as those I was up against.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve been a competitor. In fact, I grew up playing sports, but when I was in high school my love for fitness became my passion.
When I was in the 11th grade, I decided to join the school track team. It immediately became clear, that I wasn’t the fastest, strongest, nor the most athletic on the team – far from it.
Later that year, my team was competing in the conference championships and we were seeded to win as long as everyone on our team did their part and contributed.
As it turned out, my job was to race and with all of my power, not finish in last place in the 100m dash.
I was doing great until about 70 meters into the race, and too my horror, my body began to slow down.
